Love’s A Leap

Love is letting go
Of familiar places–
The corner store
And the hairdresser.
The habitual route
To work and back.
The park, the lake,
And the avenue.

Love is letting go
Of the rope at the well.
Love is laying down
On the threshing floor.

A small town feel, something we have let go a long time ago when life was simple and love was passionate. Your few lines create a nostalgia and an ache to languish and soak ourselves in the times gone by. Thanks

Thank you, GS. I’m not surprised that you found the heart of the poem.

Simple, sweet and straight from the heart.

Nice easy flow as ever. An unexpected ending though

Thank you, Rupa. Yes, the ending refers to ancient stories of old.
